Enhancing weekend getaways with discount car rental!
In these economic times, weekend getaways can provide some much needed respite from the daily grind when perhaps a full vacation isn't possible. To enhance the fun and diversion of the getaway, why not include renting a car, too? After all, with discount car rental, it's an affordable prospect and it adds a dimension of novelty to the weekend. For example, if you go to a B&B, or a if you got a good deal on a weekend at a resort or spa, the trip getting there becomes all the more of a diversion if traveling in a different car than you drive every day. It could be something a little more sporty, or a little more luxurious, or a color you'd never buy but would have fun with just for a while! There could be any number of aspects that would draw you to a particular car on the lot, maybe even just having a better sound system than you normally have so you can really enjoy the drive to your destination!
Another way to make your weekend getaway a real "departure" is to look for what unique places or accommodations there may be within reach of where you live. There are often areas we haven't explored within our own vicinities. For example, in Seattle, there are floating B&B's, on houseboats! Who knows what interesting places or types of accommodation are waiting for you to find them right there in your extended area?! Driving to the beach, to lakes or rivers, or mountains or woodlands, or historic little towns…all of these are great destinations for a weekend getting away from it all. So whatever you choose, don't forget you could add an extra element of fun by renting a different car for your getaway too!
